The ones that actually work
The Renaissance Albany on Broadway is the strongest pick downtown: two Tesla destination chargers plus a ChargePoint Level 2 in the garage, all included with valet. Reliability is the reason it wins — the front desk actually monitors them. The Hilton Albany on Lodge Street has two ChargePoint units in the surface lot, free to guests, but they get camped on by non-EV guests parking in front. The Hyatt Place Albany/Downtown installed four Level 2 stations in 2024 and they’re the newest hardware in the city, though only two are free to guests.
Out by the airport, the Homewood Suites Albany-Wolf Road and the Hilton Garden Inn Albany-Airport both have two ChargePoint Level 2 stations each. Homewood tends to have more availability because business travellers cluster at the Hilton Garden. The Desmond Hotel on Albany Shaker Road runs four Tesla destination chargers and two universal Level 2s — the highest density anywhere near the airport.
Fine for a top-up, not for overnight
The Courtyard Albany Airport, Hampton Inn Albany-Wolf Road, and Fairfield Inn Albany East Greenbush each have one or two Level 2 chargers and no reservation system, which means a full lot on a weeknight often has both stations occupied by cars nobody's coming back to move. If you drive an EV with under 200 miles of remaining range, do not bank on these. The Best Western Sovereign on Central Avenue has a lone Blink unit that has been intermittent for two years running — I’d call ahead the day of arrival to confirm it's live before committing.

At most Hilton and Hyatt-branded properties, yes — Level 2 charging is bundled with the room. The Renaissance includes it with valet parking. Marriott properties on Wolf Road typically charge $0.30-0.40 per kWh through ChargePoint.
The Electrify America station at the Crossgates Mall in Guilderland is the closest to airport-cluster hotels — about eight minutes from the Desmond. Downtown, the nearest DCFC is the EVgo at the Empire State Plaza garage.
